Outside- Chapter 1 page 5
I’m so glad I could get this done tonight. It was hard work, but it feels great to have it done! And i’m very satisfied with the finished look of it.
Individual panel comments:
1. this panel turned out MUCH different from the original sketch. i changed the angle Nathan was shown at and also adjusted colors to give it the effect of a sunrise.
2. this was a challenge! Nathan’s left hand refused to let me draw it! XD But perseverance and Pink Floyd eventually got me through it and I am very happy with the way the panel turned out. Berkley is partially based on one of my teachers XD
3.Probably the most difficult panel for me to draw. There are NO good paramedic references on google or yahoo, so I had to come up with something by myself. (not like i don’t do that for most of the comic anyway, but it would have helped!)
4. abstract scene. i like how the syringe turned out
5. I had a very tough time deciding what sort of car Nathan should drive. I finally decided on my favorite car, a black, ‘67 chevy impala. I’ve always had a fondness for these, even before Supernatural (although i LOVE the winchester bros.!)
it seems to fit him in my opinion!
It was a challenge to draw! cars are extremely detailed and I wanted to make this one look as spiffy as the polaroid camera in the last page. Hope I didn’t disappoint.
The colors on the license plate were based off of real New Jersey license plates. I can’t really see Nathan getting fancy with his, so I went with a basic plate and basic code. But the code has a small twist. If you can figure out why I picked the letters and numbers that I did, total kudos from me!

this panel took the longest, besides the car panel
6. and 7.
eh, i wanted to try something new, so I improvised. I think it fits.
I was getting sick of drawing Nathan with a cigarette in every page.
